Note: Medallions were issued to honor the 17 victims
of the USS Cole terrorist bombing of 10/12/00

On the morning of 09-11-2001, not knowing of the terrorist attack on New York's twin towers, I was forwarding the 17 medallions honoring the USS Cole victims to the Navy Casualty department.  Including those medallions, we had issued 27 medallions due to the terrorist attacks of Osama Bin Laden.

Please log onto our Website: www.fallenfriend.com to view and read about a medallion issued to military and law enforcement personnel who lose their life in the line of duty.  (Medallions are given to the families at no cost to them and on file with the casualty departments within the military.)  The symbol on the medallion is the "Symbol of a Nation".  The unity of a diversified force makes a strong nation, we are all stockholders in America.

As of January 30, 2003, medallions have been issued to almost all of the families of military personnel who died in Afghanistan and the Philippines.  Many others have been honored who lost their lives in training exercises to be combat ready.

Medallions were issued for two of the seven victims of the Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy on February 1, 2003.  Medallions will be issued for the remaining five.

Law enforcement personnel who received this special medallion range from CIA, FBI, Park Rangers, State Troopers, Sheriffs, Deputy Sheriffs, and SWAT team officers.

A special thank you to many private citizens for their donations.  With their help, it was possible to honor the 22 Army personnel who died in the 9-11 terrorist attack of the Pentagon and many, many others.

A decal, (see local link), is sent with each medallion to the families of the next of kin.  The phrase on the decal could be that of the deceased.... "America we did it for you", for they truly made the ultimate sacrifice.  These special people came from all walks of life and age groups, serving their country in the United States and on foreign soil.  They lost their life ensuring freedom and the "quality" of life we enjoy in America.
